Since headphones work but the built-in speaker does not, the most likely issue is that Windows is using the wrong output device, the speaker device is disabled, or the default playback device is not set correctly.
Try these steps in order on Windows 10:
- Check the current output device
- Select the Speakers icon on the taskbar.
- Select the arrow to open the list of audio devices.
- Make sure playback is going to the internal speaker device and not headphones or another output.
- Set the built-in speaker as the default playback device
- Select Start > Settings > System > Sound.
- Under Related settings, select Sound Control Panel.
- On the Playback tab, select the ASUS/internal speaker device.
- Select Set Default.
- Make sure the speaker device is not disabled
- Select Start > Settings > System > Sound.
- Select the audio device, then select Device properties.
- Make sure the Disable check box is cleared.
- Check mute and volume mixer settings
- Right-click the Speakers icon on the taskbar and select Open Volume mixer.
- Make sure the speaker device and media apps are not muted.
- If a control shows a red circle with a line through it, select it to unmute.
- Turn off audio enhancements
- In the taskbar search box, type control panel and open it.
- Select Hardware and Sound > Sound.
- On the Playback tab, right-click the Default Device and select Properties.
- On the Enhancements tab, select Disable all enhancements or Disable all sound effects, then select OK.
- Test audio again.
- Run the Windows audio troubleshooter again from Settings/Get Help
- For Windows 10, the automated audio troubleshooter in the Get Help app can run diagnostics and attempt fixes.
- Another path is Start > Settings > Update & security > Troubleshoot > Playing audio > Run the troubleshooter.
- Check the physical behavior
- Unplug the headphones fully and test again.
- Some systems will not play through speakers while headphones are still detected.
If the speaker still does not appear or cannot be selected, the issue may be with the audio device/driver for the ASUS T100T.
