Hi

I am getting constant Avast and McAfee popups

I previously bought paid subscription to Avast. I have deleted the app, run Avast clear tool , run the McAfee consumer product removal tool, checked task manager for suspicious items running, have disabled extensions on browser settings, cleared site permissions , run Obit uninstaller,

Some of these things worked temporarily for a few weeks but keep returning .Any help appreciated .

To narrow down where these pop-ups are coming from, could you please confirm whether they appear as Windows notifications in the lower-right corner of the desktop, inside your web browser, or as separate Avast/McAfee windows? If possible, please share a screenshot of one of the popups, making sure no personal information is visible. Also, let me know which browser you normally use and whether the popups still appear when all browser windows are closed.

Please also open Settings > Apps > Installed apps and confirm whether Avast, McAfee, or any unfamiliar security-related application is still listed. In addition, go to Settings > System > Notifications and check which applications or websites are currently allowed to send notifications. This will help determine whether the issue is being caused by leftover antivirus components, browser push notifications, or another installed program.
