Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Hi Linda,
May I ask if you purchased a Microsoft 365 Business subscription, such as Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, or Business Premium?
If you purchased a Business subscription, Microsoft typically sends a confirmation email containing an initial onmicrosoft.com administrator account. If you need help locating that account, try searching your email inbox for the keyword "onmicrosoft", as it is often included in the Microsoft 365 purchase confirmation or setup emails.
This account is typically used to access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, where you can manage users, licenses, and subscription settings for your organization.
If that applies to your situation, please try the following:
- Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center using the onmicrosoft.com account from the purchase confirmation email.
- Go to Users > Active users > Select your account > Licenses and apps.
- Under Licenses, please check whether the box next to your Microsoft 365 subscription is selected for the account you are trying to use. If it is not selected, check the box and save the change.
- Then sign in to a Microsoft 365 app (such as Word, Excel, or Outlook) using that licensed account and see whether the product activates successfully.
If you purchased a personal subscription (such as Microsoft 365 Personal or Microsoft 365 Family), and you have already verified that the subscription does not appear under your Microsoft account despite the successful charge, this may require assistance from Microsoft Support for personal accounts, as only they can review the purchase details and determine whether the subscription was associated with a different Microsoft account or if there was an issue with the transaction.

I hope this points you in the right direction. Let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance.
