Managing Android devices using Microsoft Intune
Xiaomi Redmi 14C stuck on "Establishing connection" during Intune enrollment (Android Enterprise COPE)
Hello,
We are experiencing an issue enrolling a Xiaomi Redmi 14C device into Microsoft Intune using Android Enterprise Corporate-Owned Personally Enabled (COPE) enrollment via Google Zero-touch.
Environment
- Device: Xiaomi Redmi 14C
- OS: HyperOS 3 (latest available version)
- Enrollment type: Android Enterprise COPE
- Provisioning method: Google Zero-touch
- MDM: Microsoft Intune
Issue
The enrollment process starts normally. The device downloads the configuration and proceeds through the setup wizard.
However, after signing in with the Microsoft account, the setup gets stuck on the screen:
"Establishing connection"
The device remains on this screen indefinitely and enrollment never completes (see attached screenshot).
Additional information
- The device is running the latest HyperOS 3 version.
- The problem is reproducible on multiple enrollment attempts.
- Factory reset was performed before each test.
- Network connectivity is working correctly.
- Other Android devices can be enrolled successfully using the same Intune and Zero-touch configuration.
- Xiaomi Redmi 14C appears on the Android Enterprise Recommended device list, which is why we expected COPE enrollment to work without issues.
- Has anyone experienced a similar issue with Xiaomi devices, HyperOS, or specifically the Redmi 14C? Are there any known compatibility issues or additional requirements for COPE enrollment on this model?
Thank you for any advice or troubleshooting suggestions.
Best regards,
