Try this in order on Windows 11:
- Verify the dongle is being detected at all.
- Open Device Manager.
- Check under Bluetooth for an adapter name that includes Bluetooth or Radio.
- If Bluetooth is missing, in Device Manager select View > Show hidden devices.
- Fully power off the PC, then power it back on.
- Hold Shift and select Start > Power > Shut down.
- Wait about 1 minute.
- Turn the PC back on.
- This can restore Bluetooth hardware that has stopped responding.
- Update the Bluetooth driver.
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Bluetooth.
- Right-click the Bluetooth adapter > Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart the PC after the update.
- Check Windows Update.
- Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update.
- Select Check for updates.
- Install available updates and restart.
- Reinstall the Bluetooth adapter.
- In Device Manager, expand Bluetooth.
- Right-click the Bluetooth adapter > Uninstall device.
- Shut down the PC, then turn it back on.
- If Windows does not reinstall it automatically, open Device Manager and select Action > Scan for hardware changes.
- If the adapter still is not recognized, install the latest Bluetooth driver from the PC manufacturer support site.
- Search by the PC model number.
- Install the latest Bluetooth driver for Windows 11.
- Restart after installation.
- If Bluetooth is missing or grayed out in Settings, contact the PC manufacturer.
- Bluetooth hardware errors are commonly caused by PC-specific driver or firmware issues.
If the dongle appears in Bluetooth but devices still will not pair, also:
- Put the Bluetooth device into pairing mode.
- Move it closer to the PC.
- Charge the device fully.
- Remove the device from Settings > Bluetooth & devices, then add it again.
