It is as the title says, Microsoft Edge is taking up 35gb of storage space. As someone with limited space, this is far too much. I do not know why it is doing this, nor how to stop it.Screenshot 2026-10-04 194232

Delete all of the highlighted folders, leaving only the 154.0.4258.53 folder.

Hi, your screenshots show lots of old Edge installation versions left behind. I’d focus on those folders.

  1. Restart your PC, open edge://version, note the current version, then close Edge.
  2. Open C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application.
  3. Keep the current version and the two newest numbered folders. Delete only the older numbered folders, skipping anything Windows says is in use.

Leave EdgeCore and EdgeWebView alone. Check Edge opens normally before emptying the Recycle Bin. This may recover less than the displayed size because some files are shared.
