If the pop-up appears when going offline or closing the browser, treat it like a browser pop-up or scam page rather than Adobe Reader itself.

    1. If Microsoft Edge becomes stuck on the pop-up, close it with Task Manager:
      • Right-click Start > Task Manager
      • Select Processes
      • Under Apps, right-click Microsoft Edge > End task
      • Reopen Edge normally
    2. Make sure Edge pop-up blocking is turned on:
      • In Edge, press Alt + F > Settings
      • Go to Cookies and site permissions
      • Open Pop-ups and redirects
      • Turn on Block (recommended)
    3. If pop-ups still appear, check the common causes in Edge:
      • Update Edge: Alt + F > Settings > About Microsoft Edge
      • Turn off extensions temporarily: Alt + F > Extensions > Manage extensions
      • If the pop-up stops, re-enable extensions one at a time to find the one causing it
    4. Scan the device for malware with Windows Security, especially if the pop-up looks like a warning or scam.
    5. If the pop-up is actually an Outlook PDF preview problem, the known causes are:
      • Adobe Acrobat Reader bitness does not match Outlook bitness
      • Microsoft PowerToys has overridden PDF preview; in PowerToys > File Explorer Add-ons, disable Enable PDF (.pdf) preview

    Hi,

If the Q&A Assist procedures didn't work, you can take a screenshot of the pop-up and post it here.

    Thanks.
