My access to collections is missing, but the toggle is still on in Appearance. What can I do to access to my saved collections?

    Hi,

Collections feature has already been deprecated since version 149 so you can only access them through https://www.bing.com/saves. However, your Collections are still saved locally through the collectionsSQLite file. Here are the steps to extract it and retrieve your Collections.

If Microsoft Edge is on version 149 or later, Collections is no longer available. That is expected behavior even if the Collections toggle still appears in Appearance.

What can still be done depends on the account type:

    1. Check the Edge version
      • In Edge, open Settings and more.
      • If the browser is version 149 or later, the Collections pane and button are no longer available.
    2. If using a work or school account
      • Existing Collections were still accessible during the retirement phase in earlier versions.
      • The supported options are to Move pages to Favorites or Export your data.
      • Microsoft states work or school account users can export Collections data for backup or offline use.
    3. If using a personal Microsoft account
      • Previously saved Collections can still be accessed through Bing Saves: https://bing.com/saves
      • Personal accounts do not get the export option.
    4. If Edge is on an older version where Collections still exists
      • Try opening Collections with Ctrl + Shift + Y.
      • Also check that the correct Edge profile is signed in, because Collections are profile-specific.

If the browser has already updated past the retirement point, the direct Collections UI cannot be restored in Edge.
