After my computer automatically updated to Windows 11, I can no longer access specific web pages that are extremely important for me to access. I have tried different browsers, reinstalling Windows 11, and setting my computer back to the factory defaults. Can anyone help, please?

    Hi Phil, Welcome in Community

Okay, if you have recently updated to Windows 11, the issue might be related to IP address assignment or the network card drivers.

First of all, perform a complete network reset: Press WIN + X and open Terminal (Admin), then type:

netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled

    netsh winsock reset

    netsh int ip reset

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    ipconfig /flushdns

    Restart the system.

After restarting, let's check the drivers: Press WIN + X > open Device Manager. Do you see any devices with yellow exclamation marks? If so, which ones?

Please provide the model of the notebook you are using, or the motherboard model if it is a desktop PC. Let me know

    Elvis

Since multiple browsers and even a factory reset did not help, the most likely causes are:

    1. Web filtering or parental controls on the device/account
After upgrading to Windows 11, Microsoft Family Safety or similar filtering may be active on the account. When web filtering is enabled, Microsoft Edge is the only browser that fully supports those controls; other browsers are treated as unsupported and can be blocked or restricted. In this configuration, some sites can be blocked across browsers until a parent/guardian or administrator approves them. If this is a family or managed device:
      • Ask the family organizer or administrator to sign in to the Microsoft Family Safety dashboard.
      • Have them review the web and search filters and allowed/blocked sites list as described in web filtering.
      • If the device is a school or work device, only the organization’s IT admin can change or remove such filters.
    2. Device is managed by an organization with strict filtering
If this is a school or work PC, the organization may use an agent or network filter that blocks categories of sites. Only the organization’s IT department can change those rules. Contact the IT support or help desk and provide the exact URLs that must be accessible so they can review and, if appropriate, allow them.

If the device is personally owned and not part of a family or organizational management setup, check whether any security or filtering software was installed or re-enabled during the upgrade and adjust or temporarily disable its web filtering features, then test the affected sites again.
