Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
To reach a live Microsoft support agent for Microsoft 365/Office, use the Get Help app or the online Contact Support flow instead of phone numbers.
Using the Get Help app on Windows (recommended):
- Open Get Help:
- Select Start and type Get Help, then open the app.
- In the search box, briefly describe the issue (for example, “Office install problem”) and press Enter.
- If the suggested articles and troubleshooters do not solve the problem, select Contact Support at the bottom.
- Select the affected product or service (for example, Microsoft 365 & Office).
- If prompted, choose any additional options so the request goes to the right team, then select Confirm.
- Choose a contact method:
- Chat with a support agent in your web browser: confirm contact information to open a live chat with an agent.
- Provide your phone number and a support agent will call you: submit a phone number to receive a call back and a request/reference number.
If signed in with a Microsoft personal account on the PC, the same Get Help app also offers built‑in troubleshooters for common issues. If those do not resolve the problem, the Contact Support steps above connect to a live agent.
If using a browser instead of the app:
- Go to the Contact – Microsoft Support site (from the official Microsoft support pages).
- Type a short description like “install Office” or “Microsoft 365 subscription issue” and skip any automated troubleshooting if the goal is to reach an agent.
- Select Get Help, then Contact Support.
- On Products & Services, choose Microsoft 365 & Office.
- On Category, choose the relevant option such as Manage my subscription or installation/activation.
- Select Confirm, then choose Chat with a support agent in your web browser or Call me back.
Note: Chat and call‑back options depend on support hours, product, scenario, and subscription. If chat is unavailable, try again during local business hours.
