Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Do you see this option on the recent tabs page?

When tabs that you haven’t used recently are moved to the Inactive tabs section, you can select Inactive tabs to restore them.

Alternatively, tap the three horizontal lines (hamburger icon) at the bottom of the New tab page, then select Recent tabs icon. Check whether your recently closed tabs appear there.

On iOS, open tabs in Microsoft Edge cannot be “restored” if they were fully cleared or removed when signing in or after being closed, but several places can still show recent or synced content:

    1. Check Recent tabs (requires sync)
      • Ensure both the iPhone and any other device using Edge are signed in with the same Microsoft account and have sync turned on.
      • When sync is enabled on all devices, recent tabs from other devices appear under Recent tabs.
      • If recent tabs are not visible even with sync on, report a sync issue (see step 4).
    2. Reopen accidentally closed tabs from History
      • In Edge on the iPhone, tap the menu ….
      • Select History.
      • Tap the page(s) that need to be reopened; each opens in a new tab.
    3. If tabs disappeared after signing in with a family account
      • When signing into Microsoft Edge with a Microsoft account that is part of a family group, existing tabs on the device are automatically cleared so that new tabs are associated with the family group.
      • Those cleared tabs cannot be restored from within Edge.
    4. If sync is not working as expected
      • In the Edge address bar, enter edge://sync-internals and tap Go.
      • Tap the menu … > Send feedback.
      • Under Describe what's happening, describe that recent/synced tabs are missing.
      • Turn on Send device information (or Send diagnostic information) and Include this screenshot.
      • Tap Send.

If the tabs were never synced and were cleared (for example, by signing into a family account or reinstalling Edge), they cannot be recovered from the browser.
