Need to receive my Installer app again because I have a new laptop and need the Installer Application for my account

Microsoft does not need to resend the installer; download it on the new laptop by signing in with the Microsoft account connected to the original purchase.

Download and install Microsoft 365

1. Go to Microsoft 365 Apps.
2. Select Sign in and use the same email address used when purchasing or redeeming Microsoft 365.
3. Select Install apps, then Install or Microsoft 365 apps. ^1^

Then use the instructions for your laptop:

Windows laptop

1. Open the downloaded installer—usually OfficeSetup.exe.
2. Select Yes if Windows asks whether the app can make changes.
3. Wait for “You’re all set! Office is installed now,” then select Close.
4. Open Word from the Start menu, accept the license agreement, and sign in with the purchasing Microsoft account if prompted.

Mac laptop

1. Open Finder → Downloads.
2. Double-click Microsoft Office installer.pkg.
3. Select Continue → Agree → Install.
4. Enter your Mac login password if prompted.
5. When installation finishes, open Word, select Get Started, and sign in to activate.

If Microsoft 365 is not displayed

Check the Microsoft account’s Services & subscriptions page. Microsoft 365 uses the account associated with the purchase for reinstallation and activation; normally, another product key is not required. ^2^

If the purchase is missing:

• Try any other email address that may have been used when paying.
• Check the old computer, if accessible: open Word → File → Account and look for the email beside Belongs to. ^3^
• If a retail or online purchase supplied a product key that was never redeemed, go to Office setup, sign in, and enter the key once to associate it with the account. ^1^
• If it came through an employer’s Workplace Discount Program, or it is a volume-license or certain Office Professional Plus purchase, the standard sign-in procedure may not apply and a product key or organization administrator may be required. ^2^
• If the $99.95 payment was made to a third-party seller rather than Microsoft, contact that seller for the account, key, or purchase record.

If the charge was made by Microsoft but the product still does not appear, contact Microsoft Support and choose help with account and billing, download, installation, or activation. Have the purchase date and receipt available, but do not post payment or account information publicly. ^4^
