A cloud-native SIEM solution that provides intelligent security analytics and threat detection across systems
Since you've already reinstalled Gaming Services and the Xbox credential components, 80004005 on the ROG Ally X usually comes down to one of three things that survive a normal reinstall:
- Force-sync the Windows Time & Date: Handhelds go into deep sleep/hibernate a lot, and if the internal clock drifts even by a minute, Xbox Live authentication immediately throws
80004005. Go to Settings > Time & language > Date & time, make sure Set time automatically is ON, and click Sync now under Additional settings. - Clear the
XblAuthManagertoken cache in Credential Manager: Reinstalling Xbox apps doesn't actually wipe your saved Windows tokens. Open the Start menu, search for Credential Manager, and click Windows Credentials. Scroll down to Generic Credentials and delete anything starting withXbl(likeXbl|DeviceKey,XblGrts, orXblTicket). - Set Xbox Services to Automatic: Press
Win + R, typeservices.msc, and hit Enter. Scroll to the bottom and find these four services:- Xbox Accessory Management Service
- Xbox Live Auth Manager
- Xbox Live Game Save
- Xbox Live Networking Service
Restart the Ally X after clearing those credentials and syncing the clock, and try signing in again. Did this start happening right after a BIOS or Armoury Crate update?
