Copilot Health is temporarily unavailable while Microsoft transitions users to the unified Copilot experience, and Microsoft has not published a restoration date or fix ETA.
The message “The server returned an error. Try again later” across both the Windows app and multiple browser modes is consistent with this service-side unavailability—not something further browser clearing, reinstalling, or private browsing is expected to resolve. Microsoft says Health will be restored, but some capabilities, including wearable and electronic-health-record connections, may return gradually afterward. ^1^
What to do now
- Do not enter the information repeatedly. Wait until Microsoft marks Copilot Health as restored, then submit it once.
- Monitor the Copilot Health support page. It is the official page carrying the temporary-unavailability notice and should reflect updated availability information.
- Preserve any information elsewhere securely until Health returns. Copilot Health is not intended to replace professional medical care; for time-sensitive health concerns, contact a qualified healthcare professional rather than waiting for the service.
- Sign in to the updated Copilot app by December 31, 2026. Microsoft says this is required to preserve eligible chats and content that have not yet migrated. Most updates otherwise happen automatically. ^2^
If the error continues after restoration
Only after Microsoft removes the temporary-unavailability notice:
- Verify that Health appears under …More while signed in with the same personal Microsoft account associated with the eligible Microsoft 365 subscription.
- If ordinary Copilot also has connection failures, run Windows Get Help, search for Copilot connectivity troubleshooter, and follow its findings. This checks for firewall rules and other connection blockers. ^3^
- If ordinary Copilot works but Health alone still fails, report it through the response feedback control or Microsoft Support, including the exact message, date/time, account type, and that it reproduces in both Windows and web. Do not include health details in the support report unless specifically required.
There is currently no publicly stated date answering exactly when it will be fixed.
