Please try to check the type of license installed on your system.

    1. Open administrative Command Prompt.
    2. Type slmgr /dlv and press Enter key.
    3. Note the Product Key Channel section Windows Script Host box:
    • If it mentions OEM <method>, you’ve OEM license installed.
    • If it says Retail, you’ve retail license installed.
    • If it mentions GVLK, VOLUME_<method> then you’ve volume license installed. Note that GVLK stands for Generic Volume License Key.

So if you've OEM license, it is lost due to motherboard replacement. Changing motherboard requires new license.

If you've Retail license, you reactivate it again with its product key.

You can refer the reactivation detailed steps here:

After a motherboard change, Windows 11 may no longer find the license tied to the device hardware. Use this path:

    1. Open Start > Settings > System > Activation.
    2. If Troubleshoot is available, run it.
    3. If prompted, use the option for a recent hardware change and sign in with the Microsoft account associated with the device’s digital license.
    4. If there is a valid 25-character product key, select Change product key and enter it.

    Important checks:

    • The installed edition must match the license. For example, Windows 11 Home must be activated with a Home license, and Windows 11 Pro with a Pro license.
    • If the original manufacturer replaced the motherboard, the PC should usually reactivate automatically. If not, use the COA/product key if one was provided.
    • If error 0xC004F211 or 0xC004F213 appears, Windows is reporting a hardware change or that no product key was found. In that case, use Activation > Troubleshoot or Change product key.
    • If error 0x800704CF appears after a major hardware change, run the Windows Activation troubleshooter from the Activation page.
    • If error 0xC004C008, 0xC004C770, or 0x803FA071 appears, the product key may already be in use on another device. If a valid key is available, phone activation can be tried by running SLUI 04 from taskbar search and following the on-screen steps. Do not use SLUI 04 for Windows 11 Pro EDU or Windows 11 Pro for Workstations, because those editions must be activated over the internet.

If Windows was previously activated by a digital license from an earlier device state, the troubleshooter is the main recovery path after hardware replacement. If a product key was previously used on the device, entering that same key in Activation > Change product key is the other supported path.
