For several weeks, Microsoft 365 Copilot has repeatedly reflowed or rescaled the conversation viewport after I submit a prompt or while the response renders. The conversation jumps away from the current position, forcing me to repeatedly scroll back to the bottom.
This is not limited to large or long-running conversations. I reproduced it again today, November 1, 2026, in a newly created conversation after only a few messages.
I have independently reproduced the behavior:
- in short and long Copilot conversations
- in Microsoft 365 Copilot on the web
- in Microsoft Teams
- with multiple Copilot models
- in multiple unrelated Microsoft 365 enterprise environments
The common symptom is unintended viewport/page reflow or rescaling and loss of the expected scroll position after interacting with Copilot.
This has persisted for several weeks and substantially interferes with normal use because every exchange can require manually navigating back through the conversation.
I am posting this both as a bug report and publicly so that other Microsoft 365 Copilot users experiencing the same behavior can identify whether they are seeing the same issue.
Microsoft: please investigate this as a Copilot client/UI rendering and scroll-position issue. If this corresponds to an existing known issue or engineering bug, please provide the tracking reference or status.
I am not requesting generic browser/cache troubleshooting. The issue has already been reproduced across multiple Copilot surfaces, models, conversation lengths, and unrelated enterprise environments.
