Remove IT management

Hello guys,

For some reason my laptop says it's managed by my organization even though no work or school account was connected. I think its because I have previously connected my school account but then immediately removed it after, but I don't know how to solve this, and I don't want to Reset my PC.

Specs in case needed:
Lenovo ThinkPad L13 YOGA Gen1 (Hardware Family: 20R5)

Intel i5 10th Gen

8GB DDR4 Ram

Windows 11 26H2 (Insider Preview, OS Build 26300.9807)

I've noticed this as of today when I clicked "Update Defender" and it showed a message saying "Your IT Organisation manages this device, you'll need to ask permission to update Windows Defender" or something similar. I'm hoping I don't have to reset my laptop since I don't want to reinstall drivers.

Thanks,

    Hello,

If you go to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school, check to see if you have any lingering school accounts. If you do, remove them and restart your PC. See if you can update Windows Defender. Also, check Windows Update for Defender definition updates.

Let me know how this goes.
