Hello Jarred Zhang,
The screenshot shows separate UK, Canadian, and US English entries. This may happen because Windows keeps keyboard settings separately for your account and the system/sign-in screen, so an unwanted layout can return during startup.
Here are some suggestions you can try:
- First, open Settings > Time & language > Language & region. Under each English language, select the three dots > Language options, then remove the unwanted keyboards and languages.
- If the keyboard returns, press Windows + R, enter
intl.cpland select Administrative > Copy settings. Confirm that the displayed language and regional settings are correct, check Welcome screen and system accounts and New user accounts, then restart. This method copies your current language and keyboard configuration to the Windows sign-in screen and system accounts, which may prevent an old UK layout from being restored during startup. - If the layouts keep returning, right-click Start, open Windows PowerShell (Admin), and run one of these:
$list = New-WinUserLanguageList -Language "en-US"
Set-WinUserLanguageList -LanguageList $list -Force
Restart the computer afterward. These commands remove all other languages and keyboard layouts from the current Windows user account, then keep only English (Canada) with the standard US keyboard. If you prefer English (United States) instead, replace the commands above with:
$list = New-WinUserLanguageList -Language "en-CA"
Set-WinUserLanguageList -LanguageList $list -Force
Let me know how it goes!
