Why have I sudd3nly started receiving small windows with, I suppose, are asking yes/no questions in Chineese or Japaneese?
I can't anser as I have no idea what they are asking and it could be inportand!
Can you copy the text in the windows and paste it into one of the online translation services? That might possibly help you identify what you've got.
For now, and to be on the safe side, do not interact with the windows in any other way.
If the computer was originally sold in an Asian country, or if it has or had at one time a native Asian copy of Windows, you might be halfway to a solution.

Sounds good Robin. If you can catch it that will be great and no rush.
If it is a font issue, which I suspect, it may look Chinese but it is not, so having it translated is not leading anywhere, it can be just some chinese-looking symbols but not Chinese.
If it pops up around the same time on a daily/weekly basis, it can be a scheduled task that might have gone wrong.
Once I have the screenshot I can confrim.
Robin, do you mind taking a screenshot so I can have some visual context? Otherwise, I have no clue what it could be based on the very little info available.
Also, does this happen when you start up your Windows, or it randomly happen once or repeatedly?
