After I experienced a problem with kb5122878 I run in-place update and blocked kb5122878

Today I installed MS new package KB5126256

  1. The first stage was OK (when appear a blue screen and % increased from0% to 30%)
  2. The second phase (after reboot) % increased from 30% to 100%
  3. After it reached 100% computer restarted and after appeared Dell logo and hourglass in stead of a process continuation BSOD
  4. Computer collected information and restarted. Dell/Hourglass stage were too long (more tahn 3 min) At last appeared blue screen with typical "Cleaning, Wait" with 0%. It took too long ad appeared log-in screen
  5. AI recommended me to run sfc /scannow & Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and restart. The first command returned me "found and fixed" and the second "operation completed"
  6. Computer restarted with BSOD how it happened with kb5122878 after I run sfc & Dism. I asked AI if I could found errors and it returned me this PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA in the time of installation KB5126256 the same as after kb5122878
  7. I created a restore point after these manipulations.

What do you recommend uninstall the latest KB, run in-place update or keep it as is and try not to restart computer?

I attached my minidumps. Taking into account that your system doesn't accept zip files I renamed Minidumps_10_13_26.zip to Minidumps_10_13_26.zip.txt.

Minidumps_10_13_26.zip.txt

P.S. It is my home computer. I bought it wit Win 8 pro x64, then upgraded to Win 8.1, and then to Win 10

    Hello UriF,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

If you only recently install the KB, you can try to go to Settings and uninstall it first. However, as I see, the minidump point to cthda.sys. So in this case, let find out what it is first.

    • Open PowerShell as administrator.
    • Type sc qc cthda and press Enter.
    • Type driverquery /v /fo list | findstr /i "cthda" and press Enter.

Please give me the output. I'm waiting for your reply.
