I joined a Teams meeting yesterday with a personal Email.
I need to access to a voice note but it said that I needed a Microsoft account under that email.
I tried to set up a Microsoft account under that email but it said that it can't be set up.

    Hello

Was the meeting hosted by an organization user?

If so, it is not asking you to create a personal account here. Rather, it is asking to check your email address to see if you have permission/access to that organization tenant.

Think of it like this - you were invited to an organization building to attend a meeting. The host registers you with your personal ID. When you get to the building, they check your ID and let you into the building to have the meeting. Later, you realize you forget something in the building and want to go back to get it. They want to check your ID again, but your permission is likely denied now since your permission has expired, and it was only given for that meeting.

You need to contact the meeting host. Have them share /send it to you instead in this case. When they share, have them use the "copy link" method and then send you the link.

For Teams Free, a Microsoft account is required. If the personal email used to join the meeting cannot be used to create a Microsoft account, use one of these supported paths:

    1. Try creating the Microsoft account with an alternative sign-up method, such as an email address instead of a phone number.
    2. Try creating the account from a different device.
    3. If that email is already tied to both a personal and a work account, open Teams in a private or incognito browser window and try signing in again.
    4. If the email is a work or school address, it cannot be used to sign up as a personal Teams Free account. Use the organization’s Teams tenant for that account, or create a free Teams account with a personal email address instead.
    5. In Teams Free, the sign-up flow is: open the Teams app, enter the personal email address or phone number, select Create a free account, and follow the prompts to create the Microsoft account.

Important: an address used for a Microsoft account cannot be reused. Even if an account was closed a long time ago, a new account cannot be created again with that same email address.

If the goal is only to access Teams with an existing personal Microsoft account such as Skype, OneDrive, Outlook.com, or Xbox Live, sign in with that existing account instead of creating a new one.

If account creation still fails, use Microsoft support through Contact Microsoft Support.
