Is there a way to create schedule dependencies between different Plans using Planner Premium? Or are dependencies only within a given Plan?

Hi Low,

Thank you for your question.

Planner Premium supports advanced task dependencies, but these dependencies are limited to tasks within the same plan. At this time, there is no built-in option to create a direct scheduling dependency between tasks in separate Premium plans.

As a workaround, you could consolidate the related tasks into one Premium plan and use buckets, summary tasks, milestones, or custom fields to separate the different projects or workstreams.

Dependencies in Planner Premium are within a plan. Premium plans let tasks be linked by dependencies between tasks in that plan, and the scheduling engine updates dates for that plan based on those dependencies.

Cross-plan dependencies are not supported. A related Microsoft Q&A answer states that Planner Premium does not support cross-project dependencies.
