Since yesterday, I started experiencing this issue when replying to an email. I don't send emails often, but i have to occasionally. This is a personal account i have had for over 20 years. Now, all the sudden Outlook is not sending my emails saying that i have exceeded the daily limit (what??) and i need to upgrade the premium, which i am not going to do since i rarely send emails. Other times it says i need to verify my email, I've tried that multiple times, i have 2-factor authenticator all set up, and my account is verified. This is so frustrating, i have tried to send this email through the mobile app, outlook on my laptop, and through the web and nothing is working. What can i do? It is impossible to contact directly Microsoft support, they don't answer the phone and nothing on their support site helps. Please, help me!

It sounds like you're encountering issues with sending emails due to potential restrictions on your account. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check for Account Limitations: Sometimes, accounts can be temporarily restricted due to unusual activity or if they reach certain sending limits. You may want to check if your account is on a blocklist or if there are any restrictions placed on it.
    2. Verify Your Email: Since you mentioned that you have already tried verifying your email multiple times, ensure that you follow all the steps provided in the verification process. Sometimes, it may require additional confirmation or steps that need to be completed.
    3. Use the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant: This tool can help diagnose and fix issues with Outlook. You can download it from the Microsoft website and follow the prompts to see if it can resolve your sending issues.
    4. Check Network Settings: Ensure that your network settings allow for email sending. Sometimes, firewalls or network configurations can block email traffic.
    5. Contact Microsoft Support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to reach out to Microsoft support again. Try using their online chat support or community forums if phone support is not responsive.

These steps should help you address the email sending issues you're experiencing with Outlook.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

This can happen if the system detects unusual activity, or if your account hasn’t been fully verified.

Can I ask if you’re using Outlook with a personal Microsoft account or through a work/school account?

For personal accounts, the best place to start is making sure your account is fully verified, check that your security info (like your phone number or alternate email) is up to date at https://account.microsoft.com Once that’s done, the limits often lift within 24 hours.

If it’s a work or school account, you may need to reach out to your IT admin since they control sending limits for your organization.

For more detailed guidance please see "How can I increase sending limits?" section here: https://support.microsoft.com/office/sending-limits-in-outlook-com-279ee200-594c-40f0-9ec8-bb6af7735c2e

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
