Hi, myself Drik Dey, CCDV-F - Clade Certified Developer - Foundations - English (ENU) was scheduled for today 3PM (8/11/2026), and I joined on time 2:30PM. During launch, OnVUE got stuck on “We are securing your system and launching your exam” and never entered the exam. I waited past my appointment time and was unable to start the test.

I have already completed system check yesterday, and everything was successful.

I already tried restarting my laptop and relaunching, but the issue continued.

Please help me with:

confirming this was a technical launch issue,

protecting my exam attempt,

rescheduling the exam.

Open a Pearson VUE support case for the Clade exam program now, because Pearson VUE must review the failed OnVUE session, protect the attempt, and authorize rescheduling after the appointment window has passed.^1^

    Submit the incident

    1. Go to Customer Service for Test-takers and select the testing program associated with Clade Certified Developer – Foundations. Contact options vary by testing program, so use the program-specific channel rather than Microsoft certification support.^1^
    2. State that:
      • Check-in began at 2:30 PM for the 3:00 PM appointment on November 8, 2026—or write the month in words if 8/11/2026 means August 11 in your locale.
      • OnVUE remained at “We are securing your system and launching your exam.”
      • The exam never opened, including after restarting and relaunching.
      • The pre-exam system check had passed the previous day.
    3. Ask Pearson VUE to:
      • Record the appointment as a technical launch failure, not a candidate no-show.
      • Preserve or reinstate the exam attempt/payment/voucher.
      • Reschedule the appointment without an additional fee.
    4. Attach any screenshots, timestamps, check-in confirmation, chat transcript, and the appointment/registration number. Do not post those identifiers publicly.
    5. Save the case number. Closely matched OnVUE cases are handled by Pearson VUE, and once a case is open, the candidate must wait for its investigation and response.^2^

The frozen launch screen documents that OnVUE failed to complete the launch, but only Pearson VUE can confirm the incident classification after reviewing its session records. This forum cannot access or modify the appointment.

Check for a recorded OnVUE incident

Review the OnVUE outage page for the appointment period and capture a screenshot if an incident is listed.^3^ An outage record can support the case, but the absence of one does not settle what happened in the individual session.

The general OnVUE help page also provides the official support entry point for online-proctored exam problems.^4^

Prepare Windows 11 for the replacement appointment

Since the system check passed and a normal restart did not help, do not repeat those as the resolution for the missed appointment. If Pearson VUE asks for additional device troubleshooting—or before the rescheduled session—test OnVUE in a clean-boot environment to identify interference from non-Microsoft background software:

    1. Sign in to Windows as an administrator.
    2. Search for msconfig and open System Configuration.
    3. Select Services → Hide all Microsoft services → Disable all → Apply.
    4. Select Startup → Open Task Manager.
    5. Disable each enabled startup app, recording what you disabled.
    6. Restart Windows and run the OnVUE test/launch check.
    7. After testing, open System Configuration again, select General → Normal Startup, and restore the disabled startup items.

A clean boot temporarily removes non-Microsoft startup interference; some device functionality may be unavailable until normal startup is restored.^5^ It cannot retroactively protect or reschedule the missed attempt—that requires the Pearson VUE case.
