I installed Office/Home 2024. It does not show up when I open Excel or Word, when I go to File Account Product Information. I followed these instructions to update cached licensing information but could not so. It would not let me proceed to Step 4.
This removes cached licensing information, so ensure the Microsoft account credentials are available before proceeding.
- Close all Office applications.
- Press Windows key + R.
- Enter: text
%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Office\Licenses - Delete the folder named 5 inside that location.

Can you please type cmd in the search on the taskbar, and press enter to launch Command Prompt, then run these commands one at a time. It is normal if you see error for some of the commands.
