I recently uninstalled Microsoft Office 2010 and installed Microsoft Office TLSC Standard 2024 with “Outlook Classic”. At first “Classic” showed all my old folders and file but the next day it only shows emails from the previous day and all my old folders and files (literally hundreds dating back to 2000) have disappeared.
I have tried to Google the problem and looked at the “AI Overviews” but none of them have worked.
The suggestions tried include:
- Adjust Your Offline Cache Slider. I tried this option but there was no “slider labeled mail to keep offline” option.
- Force Outlook to Reset and Re-sync Folders. Tried this option but no additional folders were added.
- Check for Local Data Files (.PST). Tried this option but no additional folders were added.
- Reset the Current View Filter. Tried this option but the “reset view” option was not available.
Alternatively, click View Settings > Filter and click Clear All if any rules are active. The filter was turned off.
- Check for the "New Outlook" Switch. Tried this option but there is no toggle switch labeled new outlook
I Googled that I had an AOMEI backup image with Microsoft Office 2010 installed from the previous day and asked if I should restore the old image and try reinstalling Microsoft Office TLSC Standard 2024 again.
I was advised “You should hold off on restoring your entire AOMEI backup image just yet. Because you already successfully installed Microsoft Office LTSC Standard 2024 and your data was visible initially, your files are almost certainly still intact on your drive. Restoring the backup and upgrading again will likely land you right back in the exact same spot because this is a standard configuration and caching issue rather than a destructive installation failure”.
In order to have access to all my old emails I have reinstalled my Aomei backup image and all my emails are shown in “Microsoft Outlook 2010”.
Obviously I would like to be able to use Microsoft Office TLSC Standard 2024 with “Outlook Classic”, so any help in restoring all my emails in “Outlook Classic” would be greatly appreciated.
