Artifact Signing organization validation "In Progress" for 10+ days after submitting requested documents

Hello,

Our organization identity validation for Azure Artifact Signing has stayed "In Progress" for more than 10 days since we uploaded the additional documents requested by Vetting Operations Support (domain registration receipts).

We have received no further email, and the portal shows no new action required.

Is this review time normal, and is there a way to check whether anything else is needed from our side? We can share the validation ID privately if helpful.

Thank you.

Open the validation request itself—not only the account overview—and complete email verification if the detail pane displays “Complete your email verification” or a verification link.

    Check for an outstanding action

    1. In the Azure portal, open the relevant Artifact Signing account.
    2. Go to Objects → Identity validations.
    3. Select the organization validation that shows In Progress.
    4. Inspect the detail pane:
      • If it displays an email-verification link, select it and complete verification using the primary email address entered in the request.
      • If it shows no action or link, leave the request active while the document review continues.

The account overview can remain In Progress even when the opened validation record contains a pending email-verification step. A closely matching case was resolved by completing the verification sent to the primary email address.^1^

Also check the primary mailbox’s Junk/Spam, corporate quarantine, and link-filtering system. Confirm with the mail administrator that messages from external senders containing links are accepted. Verification links are sent to the primary address and expire after seven days.^2^

    Is 10 days normal?

Artifact Signing organization validation is documented as taking 1–20 business days, potentially longer when additional documentation is requested. Because you submitted domain-registration evidence, more than 10 calendar days can still fall within the documented processing range.^2^

    During normal processing:

    • In Progress means validation is continuing.
    • If more documents are needed, the status should change to Action Required and an email should be sent.
    • The final status becomes Completed or Failed, accompanied by an email.^2^

Escalate if the detail pane shows nothing pending

Since the requested documents were already submitted, contact Azure Support now if you want confirmation that they were attached to the review correctly. If Azure Support is unavailable under your plan, post or continue the case on Microsoft Q&A with the artifact-signing tag. These are the documented public assistance paths; validation requests cannot be expedited.^3^

    Include:

    • Validation type: organization and Public/Private
    • Date the request was created
    • Date the additional documents were uploaded
    • Current status and whether the detail pane shows any action
    • Confirmation that the primary mailbox and quarantine were checked
    • The validation ID only through the private support interaction, not in a public post

Do not create a duplicate validation while this request remains active; another request does not accelerate an in-progress review.^3^
