How do I fix bluetooth that does not show the new headphones that I am trying to pair?

Visit the Motherboard Manufacturer's website. (B650 AORUS ELITE AX (Rev. 1.2))

Download the Realtek Bluetooth Driver for your device and then install it.

Once installed, restart your computer.

Check whether the Realtek Bluetooth adapter appears in Device Manager > Bluetooth.

Then, try connecting to a Bluetooth device.

Hello,

We need to determine whether the issue is with your new headphones or your Windows PC’s Bluetooth settings.

First,

Can you pair your new headphones with another device, such as your mobile phone? This will help confirm whether the headphones are working properly.
Could you please share the make and model of your headphones? Have you put them in pairing mode by following the correct steps? Are they visible to other nearby Bluetooth devices?
Have you paired/connected any other Bluetooth devices, such as a keyboard or mouse, to your PC? And is it working normally?

Check that the LED on the headphones is blinking quickly, which confirms they are in pairing mode.

If other devices, such as your mobile device, show your headphones in the Bluetooth list but not on Windows,

Try running the Bluetooth Troubleshooter: Go to Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other Troubleshooters > Select 'Bluetooth' and click Run.

Once completed, restart your computer and pair your Headphones again.

I paired the headphones with my phone and they work with the phone.

Amazon basics AMZ-B6080B. Visible on my phone.

I paired headphones years ago, but had problems. The same headphone was paired with my phone and it seemed to have trouble pairing with both. I have been using wired earbuds on my desktop and wireless with my phone. The only device listed in other devices -with a Bluetooth icon- is Bluetooth Radio. My wireless keyboard and mouse have a usb dongle.

I have run Bluetooth Troubleshooter multiple times and restarted my computer. No devices are showing as available in Bluetooth.

Take a screenshot of the page showing the list of available Bluetooth drivers and upload it here for reference.

This will let me know whether there are any issues with your Bluetooth drivers.

Hello,

Try reinstalling the Bluetooth drivers, then pair your headphones again. See if this works.

Open the Device Manager.

Expand the arrow next to 'Bluetooth'.

Right-click your 'Generic Bluetooth Adapter' driver, select Uninstall device, and select the ' Attempt to delete the driver software for this device' checkbox.

Then select Uninstall.

Once uninstalled, restart your computer and pair the Amazon Basics headphones.

I followed those steps and Bluetooth still does not show any devices when I try to add a device.

In the events list: "device settings not migrated" Is there something I need to do for that?

Avoid posting your email address on this public forum for security reasons.

It appears that the drivers for Bluetooth are missing or aren't installed properly here.

May I please know the make and model of your device?

Type msinfo in the search bar on the taskbar and click Enter.

Post a screenshot of the resulting dialog box.

We will try installing the drivers from your PC manufacturer's website. That should be the next step.

Put the headphones into pairing mode, then set Windows 11 Bluetooth discovery to show all devices before scanning again.

Pair the headphones

Charge the headphones, then turn them off and back on. Low battery can prevent some devices from entering or maintaining pairing mode.
Activate the headphones’ pairing mode using the manufacturer’s instructions. Merely turning them on may not make them discoverable.
- A flashing status light or voice prompt such as “Ready to connect” usually indicates pairing mode.
- Temporarily disable Bluetooth on phones or tablets previously paired with the headphones. Once an accessory connects to one computer, it may stop appearing as a new device on another.^1^
On the PC, open Settings > Bluetooth & devices and turn Bluetooth on.
Select Add device > Bluetooth, then select the headphones when they appear.^2^

Expand Bluetooth discovery

Windows can filter the displayed devices. Change discovery as follows:

Windows 11 24H2 or later: In the device-discovery window, select Show all devices.
Windows 11 22H2 or 23H2: Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices, then change Bluetooth devices discovery to Advanced.^3^

Return to Add device > Bluetooth while the headphones remain in pairing mode. If an old entry for the same headphones is already listed, select its … menu, choose Remove device, and add it again.^4^

If they still do not appear

Turn Bluetooth off under Settings > Bluetooth & devices, wait 10 seconds, and turn it back on.
Open the Get Help app, search for Bluetooth troubleshooting, and run the automated Bluetooth troubleshooter.
Install Windows updates from Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates, then restart the PC.^4^
Update the adapter driver:
1. Right-click Start > Device Manager.
2. Expand Bluetooth.
3. Right-click the Bluetooth adapter—not the headphones—and select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
4. Restart the PC.
If Windows says the best driver is already installed, download the Windows 11 Bluetooth driver for the exact PC or motherboard model from its manufacturer. If updating does not help, Device Manager also supports uninstalling the adapter and restarting; Windows will reinstall its driver automatically.^5^

If the Bluetooth category, icon, or on/off toggle itself is missing, that is a different adapter-level condition. Hold Shift while selecting Start > Power > Shut down, wait one minute, and power the PC back on. If Bluetooth remains absent, install the PC manufacturer’s Bluetooth driver or contact the manufacturer for model-specific firmware or hardware troubleshooting.^6^
