Thanks for the screenshot! You're right. Microsoft has confirmed that Windows Search is getting a simplified interface, so the daily images and news may no longer appear.

This looks like an expected design change rather than a system issue. No repair is needed.

Try these fixes in order for Windows 11 search showing only local results:

    1. Check for Windows updates
Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates. Install any available updates, then restart the PC.
    2. Restart the Windows Search process
      • Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and open Task Manager.
      • Select Details.
      • Find SearchHost.exe.
      • Right-click it and select End task.
      • Confirm End process.
      • Try searching again. Windows Search starts automatically the next time search is used.
    3. Run the Search and Indexing troubleshooter
      Open Command Prompt and run:
         msdt.exe -ep WindowsHelp id SearchDiagnostic

Select the problems that match the issue and let Windows try to repair them.
    4. If online results are intentionally disabled by policy, re-enable web search
A known Windows Search configuration can disable web results entirely. In managed environments, this is controlled in Group Policy: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Search
The policy Don't search the web or display web results in Search disables web results when enabled.

If that policy is enabled, Search will only show local results.
