A credit card was used that was not authorized when someone was using my computer. How do I get this charge removed? It was for $9.99 and is a card used for a non-profit organization. I need to get this removed as quickly as possible.

Thanks,

Kelly

    Dear Kelly Rainwater,

I’m sorry to hear that an unauthorized charge was made using your organization’s credit card.

As a first and important precaution, I strongly recommend contacting your bank immediately to block or freeze the affected card and report the unauthorized transaction. This can help prevent any further unauthorized charges.

As this request concerns an unauthorized charge and potential refund, it will need to be reviewed by the Microsoft Billing support team, who can investigate the transaction and advise on the available refund options.

Here are some steps I recommend you try:

Method 1: Contact Microsoft Data Protection Support by Phone if you are unable to access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center

For a full list of regional numbers, you can also visit this official page: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support. The support team will assist you as soon as possible.

Method 2: Submit a Support Ticket if you have access to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center

    • Open the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, then click Help & Support located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
    • In the search bar, type “Request refund” > Enter > scroll down, and click on "Get Help" > "Contact support".
    • Choose your preferred contact method, fill in the required details, and then click Contact Me to submit your request.

Once you can reach out to the Billing Team, you can share:

    • The exact charge description from your bank or credit‑card statement
    • Last 4 digits of the card used
    • A screenshot of the charge (optional but helpful)

I hope this helps! Please feel free to reply below if you have any update or further concern.
