Hi,

I am looking for setting a Display Teams Status Message to Only Certain Users like when I am working from home then I will keep the status message "work from today" for specific time but this message should be visible to certain colleagues and should not be visible to certain group of peoples maybe those who does not contact me everyday. This is important because my work from home status should not abstract if someone need to contact me on a urgent topic and then he/she will aviode contact to me after see that I am work from home today.

Thank you.

Regards,

    Dear Maid Dnyaneshwar,

I understand what you're trying to achieve. Unfortunately, Microsoft Teams does not currently provide a built-in option to show a custom status message only to specific users or groups while hiding it from others. When you set a status message, it is generally visible to anyone who can view your profile within your organization.

As a workaround, you could consider using priority access in Teams so key colleagues can still reach you even when your status is Busy or Do Not Disturb. For reference: A complete guide to Microsoft Teams Priority Access

I agree that being able to target a status message to only certain groups or colleagues would be a useful feature. Therefore, I would recommend submitting feedback through the Microsoft Feedback Portal by visiting Microsoft Ideas · Community, where the Microsoft product development team can know your requirements and ideas for product improvements. If enough users raise tickets for the same idea, Microsoft may consider adding this feature in the future.

As this is a public community forum, no one here can influence the product roadmap directly, but feedback from customers is the best way to request new features.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
