If you're using OneDrive for Business and want to share files or folders with a coworker, you can do the following:
- Select the files or folder you'd like to share.
- Select Share

- Select Anyone with this link can edit this item and set the permissions:
- Select Allow editing if you want others to be able to edit the file.
- Uncheck Allow editing if you only want others to be able to view the file.

If you need to give someone access to a large portion of your OneDrive, it's usually best to create a dedicated folder and share that folder rather than sharing individual files one by one.
However, if you need another user to have access to your entire OneDrive, such as covering for an absent employee, this typically requires a Microsoft 365 administrator to grant access through the SharePoint admin center by adding the user as an administrator of your OneDrive site. Your IT admin can find information at Manage user profiles in the SharePoint admin center
Note: The person you're sharing with must usually be part of the same organization unless your organization's sharing policies allow external sharing.
