Windows 10 version 1909 to 22H2

Hi,

For complicated reasons, I need to upgrade an old version of Windows 10 version 1909 to 22H2.

I have tried the upgrade option on the Microsoft site.

Also the download ISO option, either to the PC or as installation media.

Tried it disconnected from the internet as well.

Nothing works despite plenty of info on the web claiming that it might.

It always gets to the stage where it would restart the computer and then just goes off returning back to the desktop.

I have read that upgrading in stages from 1909 to others prior to 22H2, then to 22H2 might work but obviously cannot find other than 22H2.

May I ask Microsoft, is this actually possible please?

Please share a zipped copy of the following setup log file on OneDrive (or any other host) and post the link here:

C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setupact.log

Note: C:\$WINDOWS.~BT is a hidden folder. To access it, press Win + R, type C:\$WINDOWS.~BT and click OK.

Good evening. What error message is being reported? Did you run Windows Update to check for updates for version 1909 before migrating to 22H2?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

There isn't an error message on each of the many attempts. The Blue screen showing progress just goes off at the point of saying restarting PC.

1909 is very old, it don't think it gets updates.

Olá

Você não pode realizar Backup de dados e realizar uma instalação limpa do Windows 10 22H2? Este procedimento é recoimendado pois não há mensagem de erro o que dificulta o diagnóstico. A referência que fiz a atualizações da 1909 são relacionadas a atualizações de segurança.

Hello, thanks yes, I was wanting to avoid a fresh install. 1909 will not update to 22H2 or even earlier versions than 22H2.

There is no error message, the update screen just goes off.

Strangely W101909 will easily upgrade to W11 but I need W10 22H2.

I tried everything. Thanks for the help.

Of course Microsoft themselves are of no help at all as usual.
