I need FM20.dll and FM20ENU.dll 32-bit versions to run an older app in Windows 11.

The app obviously requires 32-bit version of those files. I don't want to do uninstall / install different versions of original office just to be able to have the file, and restore everything back to Microsoft 365 64-bit.

I need FM20.dll and FM20ENU.dll 32-bit, only to be able to run an older app in Windows 11.

    Hi @Hakan Yılmaz

FM20.dll and FM20ENU.dll are Microsoft Forms 2.0 components installed and serviced as part of a compatible 32-bit Office installation. Microsoft does not provide them as a supported standalone download.

Avoid downloading or copying these DLLs from third-party DLL sites. Besides the security risk, manually registering mismatched versions may not work because the application can depend on other Office components and registry entries.

Since 32-bit and 64-bit Office components cannot simply be mixed, the supported options are:

    • Ask the application developer for a Windows 11 and 64-bit Office-compatible update.
    • Run the application in a separate virtual machine or Windows Sandbox environment containing a properly licensed 32-bit Office installation.
    • If the application must run directly on this PC, replace 64-bit Microsoft 365 with the 32-bit edition. Microsoft documents that changing Office architecture removes the current architecture before installing the other one.

Simply obtaining those two DLL files is therefore unlikely to provide a reliable or supported solution.

Hope this helps, feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance
