Setting up future meetings with participants using Teams calendar or Outlook integration
Hi Helen,
Since the appointment is being created successfully and the meeting invitation is received, the booking transaction itself appears to be completing correctly. The error message may be occurring during the final confirmation step in the Microsoft Bookings web interface rather than during the actual booking process.
As an end user, please try the following:
- Test the booking page in an InPrivate/Incognito browser window.
- Test with a different browser or device.
- Clear browser cache and cookies.
- Verify whether the issue affects all users or only specific users.
If the behavior persists across multiple browsers and users while appointments continue to be created successfully, you should reach out to your IT admin and ask them to run the following command in PowerShell.
# Connect-ExchangeOnline
# Check current status
Get-OrganizationConfig | Select-Object BookingsEnabled, BookingsPaymentsEnabled, BookingsSocialSharingRestricted
# Enable Bookings if it is off
Set-OrganizationConfig -BookingsEnabled $true
If the issue persist, the most effective next step is ask your IT admin to use their admin credentials to submit a support request through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center on your behalf and providing the screenshots of the error.
This route ensures that a Microsoft support engineer can initiate a remote session to investigate backend configurations, run advanced diagnostic tools, and, if necessary, they can request to escalate the case to specialized teams with access to internal systems and logs. These backend resources are essential for resolving issues that go beyond what’s visible in the user interface.
I hope this helps you resolve the issue quickly. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post.
