Unable to open video clips, usually related to network news. When I click on the prompt to open the video, sometime i get a dark screen, other times i get the 'buffering' wheel which goes on endlessly w/o ever opening the video for viewing.  Case #Moderator note: PII removed

    Welcome frank tripicchio,

Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

I'm sorry you're having trouble viewing videos on MSN.com.

To help narrow this down, could you let me know:

    • Which web browser are you using when accessing MSN.com (Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, etc.)?
    • Does the issue occur on all MSN videos or only specific news clips?
    • Have you tested whether the same videos play correctly in a different browser?

In the meantime, please try these quick checks:

    • Open the affected video in an InPrivate/Incognito window and see if it plays.
    • Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then restart the browser.
    • Temporarily disable any ad-blocking or privacy extensions and test again.
    • Ensure Windows and your browser are fully up to date.

    Looking forward to your update.
