    Dear India Quarress (Student),

Just to clarify, are you looking for a QR code to set up Outlook on your phone, or are you trying to get a QR code for Microsoft Authenticator?

If your goal is simply to add your Outlook account to your phone, you can also install the Microsoft Outlook app on the mobile device and sign in with your Microsoft account without using a QR code. But if you are referring to the QR code used to set up Microsoft Authenticator for MFA, this is separate from the mobile device option in Outlook.

For a work or school account, please try the following:

    1. On your computer, sign in to your My Security page > Security Info.
    2. Select Add sign-in method.
    3. Choose Microsoft Authenticator, select Add, and continue through the prompts until the QR code appears on your computer.
    4. On your phone, open Microsoft Authenticator, select + Add account > Work or school account > Scan a QR code.
    5. Scan the QR code displayed on the computer and follow the remaining prompts to complete the registration.

If you cannot scan the QR code, you can select Can't scan the image on the computer and use the information provided to set up the account manually.

Should neither of the scenarios above apply to your situation, please reply below with more details about the issue and share a screenshot of what you are seeing.

Thank you for your cooperation. Looking forward to hearing from you!
