A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Good day heramb,
Just to gently clarify before going any further, this forum is separate from Microsoft Support. I don’t have the ability to access or investigate individual accounts or escalate the issue directly Microsoft Support because this is a user‑to‑user support forum.
To help me better understand the situation and assist you effectively, could you please share a few details such as:
1/ Are you uploading the images through OneDrive on the web or the OneDrive desktop app?
2/ Do you see any error messages or error codes during the upload process?
3/ After uploading the images, does OneDrive show a notification indicating that the upload was successful?
Note: For security reasons, please don't share passwords, verification codes, or other sensitive account information in this public forum.
This will help me better understand the context and provide more targeted support. Any additional information will help me better understand and support you.
In the meantime, you can follow these options:
Option 1: Search for the images in OneDrive
Go to OneDrive on the web and sign in with the account used to upload the images.
Use the Search everything box at the top.
Search by file name, upload date, folder name, tag, or image description.
Check My files, Photos, Recent and Shared.
This is the best place to verify whether the images are still stored in OneDrive.
Option 2: Verify that you are using the correct account
Select your profile picture in the top right corner.
Confirm that the email address matches the account where the images were uploaded.
If you have multiple accounts, sign out and check each one.
It is common for files to be uploaded to a different account when several accounts are connected to the same device.
Option 3: Check the OneDrive Recycle Bin
Open OneDrive on the web.
Select Recycle bin from the left pane.
Look for the missing images.
Select the images and choose Restore.
Please also check the Windows Recycle Bin on your computer.
Option 4: Check OneDrive sync on Windows
If you can see the images on the OneDrive website but not in File Explorer:
Select the OneDrive cloud icon in the Windows notification area.
Confirm that you are signed in.
Check for any sync errors or a paused sync status.
Resume syncing if needed.
Restart the OneDrive app.
If the issue continues, you can reset OneDrive. Resetting OneDrive doesn't remove files that are stored in the cloud.
Option 5: Contact your organization's IT administrator
If the images cannot be found in search results or the Recycle Bin, you may consider contacting your organization's IT administrator and provide the approximate upload date, the image or folder name, the last date the images were visible, whether they are missing from the OneDrive website, File Explorer, or both and a screenshot of any error message.
Note: In case you do not know who is your IT admin, kindly refer to this article: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support
