    Hi Anna,

To help me better understand the situation, could you please let me know whether you're unable to sign in to Viva Engage at all, or if you're able to sign in but can no longer access certain communities?

In addition, if possible, could you share the exact error message you're receiving, or a screenshot of what you see when attempting to access the community? This information would help me get a clearer picture of the issue and offer more relevant guidance.

I look forward to your reply.

    Kind regards,

    Common causes are:

    1. The sign-in path changed. Viva Engage sign-in for Microsoft Entra ID users goes through https://engage.cloud.microsoft or the Microsoft 365 portal at https://www.office.com/. If access is attempted through https://www.yammer.com, that URL is for external networks only. If https://web.yammer.com is used, it redirects to https://engage.cloud.microsoft and requires Microsoft Entra ID credentials.
    2. Browser session confusion across tenants. If there are multiple Viva Engage accounts or tenants, an existing browser session can keep the wrong identity signed in. Close all browser windows and reopen them before switching tenants. If access to multiple tenants is needed at the same time, use a different browser or an InPrivate/Incognito window for each tenant.
    3. Tenant/account mapping issues. If sign-in goes to the wrong tenant, or a different account appears under the same name and the original account shows as Former member, that is a configuration issue that must be resolved by the Viva Engage tenant admin.
    4. If the groups were external networks, access behavior is different. External users without a Microsoft Entra ID account can still use the external sign-in option on https://engage.cloud.microsoft. Access through https://www.yammer.com continues only for the external network experience.

    Practical checks:

    1. Try signing in from https://engage.cloud.microsoft.
    2. If available, try from https://www.office.com/ and open Viva Engage there.
    3. Close all browser windows first, then retry.
    4. If multiple company/community accounts exist, use a separate browser or InPrivate/Incognito session.
    5. If sign-in lands in the wrong tenant or the old account is no longer tied to the messages/groups, contact the Viva Engage tenant admin.
