Hi All,

I have 4 Node AZSHCI Cluster with 2 OCP NIC for Storage traffic. Currently i see both Ports are configured under VLAN 711. but as per Best practice from Microsoft we should have two different Storage VLAN (712 also). Now i want to configure both VLAN, Port 1 for Storage VLAN 711 and Port 2 for Storage VLAN 712.

Need help in getting the steps to achieve the above task.

Hope below command will do the task.

Add-NetIntent -Name "Storage" -Storage -AdapterName Port1 -StorageVLANs 711 -ComputerName <ComputerName>

and do we have impact on the Environment i.e. VMs if we saw state as unreachable as below and suggest any pointer to fix this issue

Get-ClusterNode -Name <Node> | Get-ClusterNetworkInterface

Name Node Network State

Node1 - Port1 Node 1 storage(Storage_VLAN711) Up

Node1 - Port2 Node1 storage(Storage_VLAN712) Unreachable

Node1 - (compute_management) Node1 Unused:compute_management(Management) Up

Hi @rajneesh kumar

To configure two different storage VLANs on two OCP NICs in a 4‑node Azure Stack HCI cluster, Microsoft‑supported guidance (Network ATC) is to use one Storage intent that includes both storage NICs, and specify both VLANs using the StorageVlans parameter.

Cluster‑wide configuration:

Add-NetIntent -ClusterName <ClusterName> -Name "Storage" -AdapterName Port1,Port2 -Storage -StorageVlans 711,712

You can apply the intent only to one node using -ComputerName.

This affects only that node, but note that storage redundancy may be reduced while testing.

Add-NetIntent -ComputerName <NodeName> -Name "Storage" -AdapterName Port1,Port2 -Storage -StorageVlans 711,712
