Because of this i had a hard time fixing everything that the hackers caused but the worse thing that couldve happened is someone fully taking my microsoft account assets from harutheyellowflash. i have no more microsoft award points, ( i used to have around 13 00) and i have lost my minecraft that my friend bought to be on thursday 18 june 2026, i even have screenshots to back it up and i am still in contact with this friend and he can provide everything needed to prove he bought it for me.Capture d'écran 2026-10-17 140305

Remove the Trojan before changing credentials, then submit the Xbox/Microsoft account recovery request and separate support cases for the missing Minecraft entitlement and Rewards points.

    1. Secure the Windows 11 PC first

Do not enter new passwords on the affected PC until it has been scanned.

    1. Save open work.
    2. Open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Scan options.
    3. Select Microsoft Defender Antivirus (offline scan) → Scan now. The PC will restart and scan outside Windows, making persistent malware more difficult to hide.
    4. After Windows restarts, open Windows Security → Protection history and review the result.
    5. Then run Scan options → Full scan → Scan now.

Microsoft specifically recommends completing a malware scan before changing a compromised account’s password.^1^ Defender Offline is available on Windows 11 and restarts into the recovery environment for the scan.^2^

If threats return after restarting, disconnect the PC from the network and avoid using it for account recovery until it has been professionally cleaned or reset.

    2. Recover and secure the Microsoft account

    From a different, trusted device:

    1. Start Microsoft’s hacked-account recovery flow. It can provide self-help or an option to speak with an agent.^1^
    2. Because Minecraft/Xbox services were used, submit the Xbox account recovery form at: https://aka.ms/recovermyaccount
    3. Include as much identifying account history as possible:
      • Original Microsoft account address
      • Xbox gamertag
      • Device ID for the PC or Xbox used
      • Approximate account creation and Minecraft redemption dates
      • Purchase receipt, order or transaction number
      • The purchaser’s receipt and confirmation email
      • A safe contact address that the attacker cannot access

A closely matching compromised-account case recommends this Xbox recovery form specifically for a lost Minecraft purchase and says to have the gamertag and device ID ready.^3^

    If access is restored:

    • Change the password to a unique one.
    • Remove unknown recovery addresses, phone numbers, sign-in methods, and connected accounts.
    • Check email forwarding and automatic replies for attacker-created rules.
    • Add Microsoft Authenticator or another current recovery method. Microsoft documents these security options and notes that support agents cannot directly change account details or send password-reset links.^4^

    3. Request review of the missing Minecraft entitlement

Minecraft ownership is tied to the Microsoft account on which the code was redeemed. Minecraft’s compromised-account guidance therefore directs users through Microsoft account recovery first.^5^

After opening the recovery case, contact Minecraft Support if the recovered account still does not show ownership. Provide privately:

    • Recovery case number
    • Gamertag and original account address
    • Redemption date
    • Friend’s original purchase receipt or retailer invoice
    • Gift-code purchase confirmation
    • Screenshots showing successful redemption

Important: the posted screenshot exposes the complete 25-character code. Delete or edit the public attachment and redact the entire code before reposting it. Send the unredacted code only through an official private support form. Also remove personal email addresses from public posts; Q&A responders cannot contact users privately or access account records.

    4. Open a separate Microsoft Rewards case

Minecraft/account recovery does not automatically investigate a missing Rewards balance. Use the Microsoft Rewards Support form linked under Need more help? on the Rewards support page and report the approximate missing balance, when it disappeared, and the compromised-account case number.^6^

Screenshots and receipts support an investigation, but only the account recovery and product-support teams can verify ownership or restore eligible assets.
