I was charged $99.99 today for a renewal of my Office 365. Last week I was added to a Family Plan license. Please refund or reverse the $99.99 charge. Thank you.

Log into any Microsoft account you may have on this link.

    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

If you find the original subscription linked to your account (not the new Family shared subscription), click the manage button beside the subscription.

From there, you can cancel the subscription and also ensure you disable the recurring billing on the subscription to avoid any further charges.

If you are unable to find the subscription, using any Microsoft account you may have, try using the steps they provide on this link to find out what that payment was for.

To check whether that $99.99 renewal can be refunded, cancel the Microsoft 365 subscription that was charged first.

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was charged.
    2. Find the Microsoft 365 subscription and select Manage.
    3. Select Cancel.
      • If the page shows Upgrade or Cancel, select that.
      • If it shows Turn on recurring billing, the subscription is already set to expire and will not renew again.
    4. Follow the prompts to complete cancellation.

After cancellation, refund eligibility can be checked. Not all cancellations result in a refund.

Because the charge happened after being added to a Family plan, also verify whether the charge came from a different Microsoft account or from an existing subscription with recurring billing still enabled:

    1. Review Services & subscriptions for any other active Microsoft 365 subscription.
    2. Review order history for the charge.
    3. If the charge is not recognized on the current account, use Manage your payments and select Investigate to look for charges tied to another account using the same card.

If the subscription was purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store, cancellation and refund must be handled through that store’s support.

If help is still needed after checking the account and cancellation status, use Microsoft Support through Contact Support.
