Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
For a Microsoft 365 home subscription purchased from Microsoft:
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used to buy the subscription.
- Find the subscription and select Manage.
- Select Cancel. It might appear as Upgrade or Cancel.
- Follow the on-screen steps to confirm cancellation.
Important details:
- If Turn on recurring billing appears instead of Manage or Cancel, the subscription is already set to expire and no further action is required. Charges should stop after the shown expiration date.
- If the subscription was bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store, cancellation and refunds must be handled with that store.
- If the subscription was bought from a third-party retailer such as Amazon, cancellation and billing must be handled with that retailer.
- To check whether a refund is available, cancel first. Not all cancellations qualify for a refund.
- If a charge is still appearing after cancellation, one reason can be cancelling too close to the billing date. Cancellations must be made more than 2 days before the billing date.
- If the charge is not recognized or the subscription is not visible, check whether the wrong Microsoft account was used and investigate it on the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard.
