To remove the Xbox from the Microsoft account and stop it affecting the account:

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices and sign in.
    2. Find the old Xbox device.
    3. Select Show details.
    4. Under the device name, select More actions > Remove.
    5. Confirm I'm ready to remove this device, then select Remove.

To also disconnect it from the Microsoft account device list:

    1. On https://account.microsoft.com/devices, find the device.
    2. Select Unlink.
    3. Review the details and select Unlink.

If the goal is to sign the account out from devices that are no longer trusted, use Sign out everywhere:

    1. Sign in to the Advanced security options on the Microsoft account security dashboard.
    2. Scroll to Sign out everywhere.
    3. Select Sign out.

This can take up to 24 hours, and it does not sign out an Xbox console.
