I don't like having all of my content so tightly tied to OneDrive. I would much rather have it all stored on my Android phone.
How can I do this? What android apps would it work with? Thanks.

    Hello Paul Busman,

I can see that you wish to transfer OneNote notes to different Android app.

OneNote on Android does not currently provide a direct option to transfer an entire notebook to another Android note-taking app or convert it into a locally stored notebook for another app.

If you use a personal Microsoft account, Microsoft does provide an option to export a OneNote notebook through OneNote for the web.

The notebook is downloaded to a PC or Mac, so you would then need to check whether the Android app you want to use supports importing the exported content or another format you can convert it to.

You can find Microsoft's export instructions here: Export OneNote notebooks

If your primary goal is simply to keep an independent copy of your notes outside OneDrive, exporting the notebook to a computer would be the safest first step before deciding which Android app to move to.

Feel free reply back to this post if you need further assistance, I'll be happy to help.
