If the press and hold human verification is not working, try these steps:

    1. Switch networks: move from Wi-Fi to mobile data, or try a different Wi-Fi network. A blocked verification flow can sometimes be tied to the current network.
    2. Try another verification method if one is available on the account.
    3. Stop repeated attempts and wait: repeated retries can extend the block. Wait at least 24 hours. If it still does not clear, wait longer, up to 1 week.
    4. Try signing in at https://account.microsoft.com. If sign-in fails, use the Microsoft account sign-in helper.
    5. If the account is locked and the “Let’s prove you’re human” option does not appear, use the aka.ms/ link shown in the lock window and submit the account reinstatement request. After submission, do not send additional requests because that can slow the review.
    6. If this is an Outlook.com account, reset the password to unblock it. If that still does not work, use the sign-in help flow.

    Important:

    • If the account was blocked after entering a security code by text message or after sharing many files in OneDrive, the block may clear automatically within 24 hours.
    • For OneDrive with the message “Your account is currently unavailable”, use the Microsoft services account reset page and follow the on-screen steps.
