So for the last few months I've been having an issue that whenever i open up roblox, after few minutes of playing the graphics card (i think) crashes. It only happens when i try to play roblox, I play multiple other games that are much harder on graphics card but it doesn't happen in them.It crashes in a way where the whole screen is one color (i think the one that some pixel loaded the last or maybe the one that is majorly on the screen) for example green, red, pink, any color, and a repeating sound in my headphones (i suposse the last sound that happend before the crash getting repeated over and over). When that happens i have to manually turn off my pc (by either holding the power button or turning the power off) and then turn it back on for it to be fixed (and no, ctrl+shift+win+b doesnt help i have to turn the pc off). I have already reinstalled roblox and cleared its catch multiple times, tried to play both on the web download version and Microsoft store version, updated to the latest windows version (windows 10 btw) and updated my drivers but nothing helps.

If you know some way that coukd help please tell me.

    Hi aldin jahić,

Since this happens specifically with Roblox and you have already completed the common graphics and driver troubleshooting, the next useful step is to gather more information about the crash.

Please open Reliability Monitor by pressing Win + R, entering perfmon /rel and pressing Enter. Locate the critical event at the time of the freeze and share its technical details, particularly the Problem Event Name and Faulting module.

That information should give us a better direction for the next troubleshooting step.

    Hi,

I can see the AI Answer reply on your thread, so to avoid repeating it, could you please confirm whether you already tried those steps? If yes, what happened?

Also, please also answer these questions to help me isolate your issue:
Which specific cache folder did you go to delete the Roblox cache?
Can you let me know what your CPU, memory, Ethernet, and GPU spikes are when you play Roblox?
Have you also tried lowering the graphics settings in Roblox? Is it still the same?

I look forward to your response.

    Stay Safe!

This pattern matches a graphics timeout or graphics driver failure rather than a Roblox-only app issue. In Windows, this is commonly associated with TDR (Timeout Detection and Recovery), where the GPU stops responding long enough that Windows tries to reset it. If recovery does not complete, the system can bug check or hang.

Since Roblox has already been reinstalled, cache cleared, Windows updated, and drivers updated, focus on isolating the graphics stack and hardware stability:

    1. Check Event Viewer for graphics-related errors
      • Open Event Viewer.
      • Check Windows Logs > System.
      • Look for display/driver errors around the time of the freeze.
      • Expected result: entries that help identify the device or driver involved.
    2. Update or reinstall the display driver
      • A current driver is not always a stable driver.
      • Open Device Manager.
      • Find the graphics device, right-click it, select Properties > Driver > Update Driver.
      • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
      • If Windows does not find a newer one, install the latest driver from the graphics device manufacturer.
      • If the crash started after a driver change, disabling the identified driver temporarily or replacing it with a manufacturer-provided version is the documented direction.
    3. Reduce graphics load while testing Roblox
      • Close background programs before launching Roblox.
      • Disable overlays or graphics-related utilities if running.
      • Lower Roblox graphics settings.
      • This helps test whether visual effects or background load are delaying GPU response.
    4. Verify graphics software is current
      • Make sure graphics-related software such as DirectX and OpenGL components used by games are up to date.
      • Also make sure Roblox and any graphics-intensive apps are fully patched.
    5. Check for hardware stability issues The documented causes include:
      • over-clocked components
      • incorrect component compatibility or memory timings
      • insufficient cooling
      • insufficient power
      • defective parts such as RAM, motherboard, or graphics hardware
If any CPU, GPU, or memory overclock is enabled, return it to default settings before testing again.
    6. Run Windows Memory Diagnostics
      • In Control Panel search, type Memory.
      • Select Diagnose your computer's memory problems.
      • After the test, open Event Viewer and check the System log for MemoryDiagnostics-Results.
      • Expected result: confirmation whether memory errors were detected.
    7. Use Safe Mode to isolate the issue
      • Go to Settings > Update and Security > Recovery > Advanced startup.
      • Select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
      • After restart, choose 4, 5, or 6 for Safe Mode.
      • Safe Mode loads only minimum drivers and services, which helps determine whether a normal-startup driver or software conflict is involved.
    8. If the graphics device shows an error in Device Manager
      • If the GPU has Error Code 43, update the device driver from Device Manager first.
      • That error means the graphics driver reported that the device is not working properly, which can indicate either a driver failure or hardware problem.

If Roblox is the only title that triggers it, that still does not rule out a driver or hardware problem. TDR failures often appear only under a specific rendering path or workload. The solid-color screen with looping audio and need for a hard power-off is consistent with a graphics subsystem hang.
