a purchase under my purchase history doesn't tell me what it is.

I have a date, order number, picture of a controller and that is it. I don't have an Xbox. I only have my PC. I have time left on it according be being one year which would take me to 12/26. It shows expired so I believe that is the renewal option expired as the date hasn't been a year yet.
I just need to know what it is

    Hi Lara Grey,

The controller image does not necessarily mean that the purchase was made for an Xbox console. It may also represent a game, add-on, or gaming-related service available on PC.

The December 26 date may be the end date of the remaining access period rather than the date when recurring billing stopped, so it would help to check the order’s status and amount as well. Please open the order in your Microsoft account order history, select Order details, and then choose Print to see whether the invoice provides a more specific description.

If no product name appears there either, the order number would need to be checked securely by Microsoft Support, as Community contributors cannot access billing or purchase records. Please do not post the full order number or payment details publicly. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Open Order details for that order; if it still does not display a product name, Microsoft Support must identify it from the order number because the controller image alone is not enough to determine the purchase.

    Identify the purchase

    1. Go to Microsoft account → Payment & billing → Order history.
    2. Sign in with the Microsoft account used for the purchase.
    3. Under Refine, select the relevant date range.
    4. Find the matching order number and select Order details.
    5. Select Print to open the invoice view, which may provide a fuller description than the order-history card. Microsoft documents this process for apps, games, and subscriptions.^1^

Also search the email account associated with that Microsoft account for the order number. The confirmation email may contain the complete product or subscription name.

Check whether it is a subscription

Open Services & subscriptions and look for an entry matching the purchase date or amount:

Therefore, do not rely on the “one year” assumption or controller picture; compare the exact expiry date, order date, and product name shown under Services & subscriptions.

If the product name is still missing

    On Windows 10:

    1. Open Start → Get Help.
    2. Enter Billing.
    3. Select Contact Support.
    4. Provide the order number, purchase date, amount, and a screenshot with personal/payment information hidden.

Microsoft Q&A participants cannot access account or billing records; billing support can securely trace the order.^4^

If you do not recognize the purchase at all, open Manage your payments, select Investigate, and follow the unexpected-charge process. If payment information may have been compromised, contact the bank or payment provider to prevent additional charges.^5^
