I have skype credit and can call any number in canada with it, but when I try to call any number in the U.S. it does not work. It says I have a weak connection, which I do not.

Are there limitations of this kind. I was told I could use my skype credit for any calls and I have used it in the past via Teams to call the U.S. Now all of a sudden I can't call US numbers.

I couldn't find a product that just referred to Skype. I know the product has been terminated but I should be able to use my credit of which I have enough to make calls to the U.S.

This is only one of possible reasons why your Skype calls to US numbers fail.

Last year, Microsoft has disabled any Caller ID in Skype. This means that all Skype calls are now anonymous/private. If the canadian phone numbers accept anonymous calls, while the US numbers not, then this might be the reason.

Unfortunately, there is no dedicated Skype support anymore, so the only available option is to contact Microsoft support.
