My startup was granted $100,000 Azure credits for the past 2 days and up till now the credits has not reflected on my account for usage, may I know cause and possible solution or how best I can approach the activation in order to beat the 90 days deadline?

If the credits were activated successfully, they can take several hours to appear in Azure. The supported place to verify them is Azure portal → Cost Management + Billing → Payment methods.

For a 2-day delay, the most likely causes supported here are:

    1. Activation was not fully completed
      • Azure credits must be activated within 90 days of accepting the program agreement.
      • If activation was not completed, the offer can expire and reapplication is required.
    2. Signed in with the wrong Microsoft account
      • The person who received the offer must activate the credits using the Microsoft Account (MSA) tied to the offer.
      • If unsure which account was used, sign in to the Azure portal with possible Microsoft accounts and check Subscriptions for a subscription such as Azure Sponsorship.
    3. Credits are tied to a different subscription or billing profile
      • Credits are applied to the subscription created during redemption and are not automatically visible across other accounts.
      • If there is an existing pay-as-you-go subscription, credits are not automatically applied to it unless the subscriptions are linked to the same billing profile.
    4. Team member access issue
      • If viewing as a team member, credits will not appear unless access was granted to the startup’s Azure subscription.
      • The startup admin or founder who activated the credits must add the user to the Azure subscription.
    5. Activation/account error
      • If errors such as Already redeemed, You aren't eligible for this offer, or Your account type is not supported appeared during activation, support action is required.

    Recommended approach now:

    1. In the Azure portal, check Cost Management + Billing → Payment methods to confirm whether the credits are present.
    2. In Subscriptions, confirm that an Azure Sponsorship subscription exists under the same Microsoft account used for startup activation.
    3. If using a team member account, ask the founder/admin who activated the credits to assign access to the Azure subscription.
    4. If the credits still do not appear after confirming the correct account and subscription, contact Microsoft for Startups support through the portal: https://aka.ms/startuphelp-mfs-portal.
    5. Do not wait for the 90-day deadline. If activation is incomplete or blocked, open the support request immediately.

    Key deadline facts:

    • Credits must be activated within 90 days of accepting the program agreement.
    • Once activated, they are valid for up to 2 years.
    • Extensions are not available.
